V.16 MENU (old)

People used to complain that they didn't really understand the menu that I've used up until now, so I changed it to a more orthodox one. They still complain that they don't understand it, but well, I guess I'll just stop caring XD
Actually the new menu was the most freaking hardest and complex piece of Flash I've EVER done. For numerous reasons (being able to use that insanely fancy PaperVision3D-Stuff was one of them), I had to make that damn thing in ActionScript 3.0 – which is WORLDS apart from the old one that I've used up until now. Bad thing: I still wanted the site to be able to load my old files. Which was a major pain in the ass. Adobe really did everything they could, to keep me from succeeding and the sheer amount of different technological approaches I had to use is utterly ridiculous. The menu itself looks lightweight, but the whole thing probably contains a thousand (!) lines of code without too much redundancy. Took me ages XD
If you ever plan on doing something like that - just don't. It sucks and it's nearly impossible to do it in a good way. I'm happy that the page runs "not noticably unstable", even though it is FAR from having controllable behaviour ...
